Хотя я не приняла в этом году участие в Picture Polish Blog Fest, так получилось, что я все же покажу вам свотчи нескольких оттенков PP и маникюр с использованием двух из них и наклеек NailVinyls:)
Когда я увидела Malt Teaser и Honey Dew вместе, то сразу подумала о мятном шоколаде, что неудивительно) Эти оттенки очень хорошо сочетаются и вызывают вкусные ассоциации) Поэтому скомбинировать их я решила с серебром: мне это напоминает шоколадку в фольге.
Сначала нанесла серебряный Orly Dazzle на середину ногтя (необязательно прокрашивать края), потом наклеила "шевроны", расположив две наклейки зеркально. Получившиеся ромбики закрасила Honey Dew, а края – Malt Teaser.
С этими наклейками действительно проще работать, чем со клейкой лентой для дизайна: они легко наклеиваются и плотно прилегают к ногтям. И конечно, разнообразие форм мне очень нравится! Здесь я использовала обычные "шевроны", а вообще есть разновидности: и более широкие, и узкие, и еще куча других форм, купить все можно на сайте NailVinyls.
Но есть и минус: они более клейкие, чем привычная striping tape, и поэтому лак должен высохнуть перед их нанесением. В некоторых случаях мне все же удобнее использовать ленту для дизайна)
Although I didn't participate in this year's Blog Fest I still got a chance to show you some Picture Polish swatches and a NailVinyls design using PP shades thanks to lovely ladies from Picture Polish:)
When I saw Malt Teaser and Honey Dew together the first thing that came to my mind was mint chocolate. Don't these two shades just remind you of a chocolate bar with mint cream filling?) Chocolate bars are often wrapped in silver foils, so I chose silver as a third shade for this manicure!
First I applied Orly Dazzle in the center of the nails, then I applied two chevron NailVinyls mirroring each other. I filled in diamonds formed by chevrons with Honey Dew and painted the rest with Malt Teaser.
NailVinyls turned out to be indeed easier in use than striping tape. They are easier to apply and stick firmly to the nails. And I really love the variety of forms: I used standard chevrons here, and there are also skinny and wide chevrons beside all the other designs. You can check them out at NailVinyls site (they ship worldwide).
But there is also a drawback: they're more sticky than striping tape and because of that the polish needs to be completely dry before you apply them. In some cases I prefer to use good old striping tape)
